I previously avoided this park when they charged for internet access, but internet access is now free, and works well. Check-in staff was very friendly, helpful, and quick. The only problem was that they were so quick that the people escorting campers to sites couldn't keep up, so there was a small delay in getting to camp. Even they were extra friendly, even taking the time to wipe off the faucet (and brag about their great tasting water).
I've stayed at this campground several times while travelling on I-15, and would continue to choose it as a stopping off point in this area. The campground is nicely landscaped with a small brook bordering the edge of the campground. Wireless internet is free, and worked well. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and even walked out to make sure I easily found the right site.
This is a very nice, modern looking campground adjacent to a paved walking/bicycle path that parallels the Bow River. Wireless internet is free, however it struggles to meet the needs of the campground. Heavy filtering has been installed to prevent abuse of bandwidth, yet still at least half the time attempts to view web sites resulted in errors. Showers are coin operated, costing $1.00.
This is a large beautiful RV park in a beautiful area. It is nicely landscaped with trees or bushes between every campsite. Firewood is provided for free. Freshly baked cookies are provided for free in the office. Wireless internet is free (with a code from the office), but some of their hotspots seemed to be having problems during my visit, so I experienced some difficulties accessing it from my site.
At first I was nervous about finding the campground, since it is several km off the main highway, but the directions provided worked well, and there are signs leading the way all the way from the main highway. Wireless internet is now free, and worked well. There was plenty of room the day I arrived, but they were completely booked for the next night, so I definitely recommend reservations.
This is one of the most welcoming campgrounds I've ever been to. I arrived after 8:00 pm, and was impressed to find the office still open, even though it is not the busy season. Wireless internet is free with a code provided by the office, although it appears that they charge a fee for monthly campers. Cable television works well, although they do charge $2 extra per day for cable, so make sure you get a site without it if you don't plan to use it. The owners host pancake breakfasts in the mornings and cowboy cookouts in the evenings May 1 - Oct. 31.
Mid-October is the beginning of the slow season for this campground, and it shows. On Sunday, the office was only open for three hours in the afternoon, meaning that the lounge they advertise for guests was not available most of the day. On their website, they advertise that "Resort guests are escorted to their sites," but that just doesn't happen this time of year the manager simply instructed me to pick any site in the first three rows. The bathroom does not appear to be cleaned on a daily basis, as demonstrated by a full trash can and dirty toilets which were not fixed during my stay. Additionally, two of the four toilets in the men's restroom were out of order. That being said, this is a beautiful campground in a beautiful area. There are many large trees providing shade for many of the sites, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this beautiful campground again, even during the slow season.
Campsites are nicely spaced out, with lots of trees in the area and between sites. Showers are available, and are included at no extra charge. They are not coin-operated. Most toilets are pit toilets, with flush toilets available at the showers. The pit toilets located nearest my campsite were quite full, apparently because someone had dumped some garbage into the toilet. This is a very beautiful area, and I would definitely stay here again.
This little, tucked away park is nice and convenient to all of the attractions in the area. A creek flows adjacent to the park, and you can hear it babbling from your campsite. Restrooms were immaculate. Staff was very helpful, escorting visitors to their sites. Includes free wi-fi.
